Blog #3: Most Influential Person

In the last week alone, the music and acting communities lost 3 incredible talents: David Bowie, Alan Rickman, and Glenn Frey. The sports broadcasting world also lost an announcing legend last week in Jim Simpson. Consider people of today or the past who have made their mark on the world in some way. What individual has made the greatest impact on the field of ____? Defend your position. Be sure to explain the accomplishments this person made and why these matter so much.

BEYONCE FREAKING KNOWLES

Beyonce inspires many people in a lot of ways. Not only is she an amazing woman but she is extremely responsible. As Bey was growing up she realized all she ever wanted to do was put smiles on people's faces and perform in front of everyone. She works hard for what she wants and she never gives up. Most celebrities have their breaking point/moment where they turn crazy and start using a bunch of drugs and alcohol but Beyonce has never been down that hill. Beyonce spends her time giving back to a lot of different charities and visiting countries that are lacking the needs the US has, In 2014, Beyonce took half of her tour money to give water and food to families who need it in Africa. Beyonce is the perfect role model and I believe she has made so many accomplishments as a singer.

Blog #6: I ♥ KC

When I leave for college in California, the thing I will miss most about KC is the Royals games at Kauffman Stadium. The energy of Kansas City while cheering on our boys is the best feeling ever.
I also love the barbecue here, no matter what restaurant you go to there is always amazing food that is served. So mostly I will miss the barbecue and the fun Royals Games.

Blog #1: 2016 GOAL

New Year's Resolution

You all have a busy year ahead of you that will include many big changes in your life. Reflect on 2015 as a whole, and then look ahead to 2016. Think about the way(s) your life will be different by the end of 2016.

In a fully developed response (two paragraphs minimum), define your most important goal (i.e. resolution) for the upcoming year. What is the reason you wish to achieve this goal?  What are some obstacles that stand in your way and what will you do to overcome these obstacles/hurdles? How will you measure your success? What benefits do you expect to gain by reaching your goal?

• This year has been one crazy and stressful year, especially as a senior, from dealing with work, after school curricular activities, and also free time. 2015 was a very long year filled with a lot of drama, losing friends, and making bad decisions that I should have not made and regret but 2015 was full of happiness and memories that I wish I can go back to. I have learned a lot of lessons in 2015 that I have been following to make my 2016 year successful and 10x better.  My life will be very different after 2016... I am planning on trying out for AMDA(American Musical Drama Academy) in Los Angeles, California to pursue my dream in being an Entertainer. It has been my dream to perform on the big award shows and travel the world and I plan on accomplishing that dream. One of my most important goals is definitely becoming an entertainer and in the music industry before I am 20, It has been something I have wanted to do for a long time and I am gonna accomplish and reach that dream. Being an entertainer takes a lot of work, from days to nights and a lots of coffee. To accomplish this dream I plan on attending college for 2 years at AMDA to learn more about music producing and the industry, I am also gonna start going into studios recording stuff and putting it out there and sending it to a bunch of well known producers. To overcome hard obstacles I will just have to keep a positive mindset because it takes time and it's not just gonna happen. So I plan on working hard and staying positive through my journey. The main benefits I want from my goals and dream is to prove dreams come true with dedication and hard work. The feeling of proving everyone who doubted me wrong would be the best feeling ever. And last but not least provide for my family in every way possible. They're always here for me no matter what I go through and just giving back to them would be amazing. All I wanna do is make people smile and enjoy the music that I write.
